Deb DubsDeb was introduced to Yoga in 1996 when Bobbi Misiti offered classes through West Shore Recreation. After retiring from providing day care two years ago, she was able to explore her interest in fitness, and became a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

Through Bobbi’s classes, she refocused her attention on Ashtanga Yoga and attended a workshop with Doug Swenson in the fall of 2004. She began teaching under Bobbi’s guidance in February 2005.

Deb remains a certified personal trainer and is earning a certification in lifestyle and weight management through ACE. She also maintains a current CPR certification.

Deb finds herself near the end of raising her three children and spends her spare time playing tennis with her husband and studying exercise, physiology and yoga.

As she learns and practices Yoga, Deb finds its benefits are so much more than the strength and flexibility it produces. The spirit of yoga, its generosity and compassion, have helped shape her personality and bring a sense of calmness
to her daily life.
